Postponing Our Inaugural Event Was The Right Decision

Dear Valued Friend,

As you may have heard/read by now, our much anticipated inaugural event, scheduled for March 18, 2020, has been temporarily postponed due to the COVID-19 virus.

DOING THE RIGHT THING ISN’T ALWAYS EASY.

However, our new event date will ensure an event that will be stronger, better, well attended and with even more goodwill and positivity and joyous interaction and value.

Coordinators of other upcoming healthcare events that haven’t yet postponed their own dates, should strongly consider the safety and well-being of the elderly and most vulnerable residents who will come in direct contact with the admins of their facilities that will be congregating at these gatherings.

Healthcare administrators themselves who may still be on the fence as to whether or not to attend these gatherings, should also consider the same.

Postponing a healthcare event that took much time and money to coordinate, is never an easy call to make and I now know this first hand. However, in this critical moment, it’s simply the right and responsible thing to do. God forbid if one resident in a skilled nursing facility were to become infected by a virus that could be traced back to a healthcare networking event, the damage and resultant fallout would be irrevocable.

I give credit to my healthcare mentor who has been there for me in every way from the very beginning of my healthcare journey 8 years ago as a fledgling, know nothing  Admissions Director in a skilled nursing facility. He taught me the ropes, trained me, facilitated by eventual LNHA achievement and then ensured that I’d be successful. His guidance during this critical time is valued and cherished.

Finally, I’d like to publicly praise our sponsors, who have committed themselves to our event and gracefully understood and embraced our decision to temporarily postpone until the crisis passes. You are all an inspiration to me.

Stay tuned for our new date information!

#wearestrongertogether

Warmest Regards,

Judah Gutwein, LNHA
